CENTRAL WORKING COMMITTEE MEETING
FEROZEPUR [PUNJAB] SEP 28, 29.2012

          CWC Meeting was held at Ferozepur (Punjab) as proposed on 28.9.2012 and 29.9.2012 on the premises of Sharma Restaurent, Neem, Wala Chowk.

          Com. S.P. Kulkarni President was on the chair.  Com. Baldev Sharma, Circle Secretary welcomed the Leaders, Special Guests and Circle/CHQ Office bearers.

          Com. M. Krishnan Secretary General, NFPE inaugurated the CWC and delivered keynote address.  In the speech, our leader elaborated many issues, which, affecting the postal sector and working class of the Nation.  Dec. 12th confederation strike programme and 15 points charter of demands was the centric point of the speech.

          Com. Giriraj Singh, General Secretary, NFPE R3, New Delhi was kind enough to attend our CWC and rendered felicitation address.  Several Leaders from P3, P4, GDS of NFPE and Northern Railway Employees Unions of Punjab circle participated in CWC and conveyed their wishes for success of the meeting.

          Representatives from all circles except Andhra, Karnataka and West Bengal attended.  Com. Asitdas, All India Working President and Circle Secretary, West Bengal sent a message informing his inability to attend CWC owing to serious condition of health of his father.

          General Secretary submitted the Draft report on functioning of the Union for the period from October 2011 to September 2012.  Circle Secretaries and CHW Office bearers reviewed the organizational matters and functioning of CHQ/circle head quarters through their speech.  Issues, such as, non filling up of LSG/HSG SBCO posts on regular basis, non revision of Time factor of SBCO work, Transfer liability within division, Grant of Incentive to SBCO employees, powers of writing of CRS of SBCO  Cadres to  AO ICO (SB), making eligible to write Group 'B' Exam, Torture of Divl. Heads over SBCO employees were focused  during the review.  It is decided to list out those sectional demands and submitted to the Secretary, DOP, for taking necessary action.  In the event of non settlement within reasonable period, a trade union action is decided to launch in front of Dak Bhawan to realize the demands.

          Next (Second) All India Conference of our union is decided to convene in March 2013 at Haridhwar.  Dates of conference will be notified early.  Uttarpradesh circle has come forward to host the conference.

          Com. Virendra Tewary Deputy General Secretary proposed vote of thanks.  The excellent  arrangements made by the Reception Committee Team Com. B.D. Sharma Circle Secretary, Com. Mohindar Nath, Com. J.S. Walia, Com. Rakeshkumar, Com. Neeraj Kumar, Com. Manjeet Kaur and Com. Rabinkumar was lauded by all.
